Dubai is well-known for its jaw-dropping and over-the-top opulence. The folks from the middle-east really seem to take their vehicles seriously, even the Dubai police – we are referring to our post on the Dubai Police’s fleet of supercars. Apparently in Dubai there is a motorhome that just recently went on sale. This is where most folks would go, “So what’s the big deal?”
Well, the big deal is this: this particular motorhome is covered in gold.
Marchi Mobile clad its eleMMent Palazzo model in gold, and has plans to sell the extravagant monolith in Dubai for about US$3.1 million. This means that the spaceship-like, 40-foot vehicle is the world’s most expensive motorhome. Its features include a large master bedroom, a 40-inch television, a pop-up cocktail bar, a fireplace and even its very own rooftop terrace. The motorhome also boasts its ‘Sky Lounge’ feature – push a button and the entire vehicles converts into a personal retreat with the pop-up cocktail bar, underfloor heating and grandiose marble lighting.
It all sounds pretty exciting and definitely very fancy. We reckon that whoever forks out the US$3.1 million for this moving palace would have a great time. However, there is the issue with the looks of the front end. We are not quite sure what to make of it…
