Giorgio Armani a favorite among Emmy Awards attendees

The 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards held on September 22, is one of the most watched awards shows in Hollywood. Knowing that millions would be watching the live telecast (and possibly the re-run), the stars indubitably wore their best digs to the event. It seems that this year, Giorgio Armani was a resounding favourite among the nominees, presenters and attendees attending the glitzy event at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.

Claire Danes, who won “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series” (for Homeland), wore a Giorgio Armani Prive ethereal nude flared gown featuring a tulle bodice embroidered with sequins. The full crinoline lace skirt was accented with a woven horizontal ribbon motif. Jon Hamm was nominated for “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series” for his work in "Mad Men", was sporting a Giorgio Armani ivory one-button peak lapel dinner jacket, classic evening pants and a classic evening shirt with a bow tie. Even Matt Damon wore a Giorgio Armani black two-button peak lapel tuxedo with a classic evening shirt and a bow tie – he was nominated for “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie” for his role in "Behind the Candelabra”.

Others who wore Giorgio Armani to the awards ceremony included Michael J. Fox, Travis Wall, RJ Mitte, James Wolk and Reid Scott.
