Bulgari Resort, Bali
From sunrise to sunset, the Bulgari Resort crowns you lord and master of all you survey. The Luxury-Insider.com team puts the resort and its reputation to the test
Even from within your compound, to say nothing of the villa proper, you have complete and total privacy – a rare treat for city dwellers

Roger Federer and I finally have something in common, besides a certain regard
for Switzerland. Well, he is Swiss so he's got an excuse for that one. On the way
to my villa at the Bulgari Resort, my butler (who's at my disposal 24/7 but more
on that later) tells me he was Federer's Man Friday when he visited after the Australian
Open in 2009. Of course, Fed Ex stayed at the resort's penthouse equivalent, the
Bulgari Villa.
Nevertheless, you don't have to be in the Bulgari Villa to be treated like royalty
here. Ensconced in your own private villa, you are very much the lord and master
of all you survey. This experience begins long before you even arrive at your domicile.
From the moment you step out of your vehicle at the resort, the exquisite nature
of the place will sweep aside any jetlag you might be experiencing. That aside,
the staff know who you are and allow you to decamp at your leisure, welcome drink
and all. Of course, this is the result of heightened security at the gates, which
is true of many luxury hotels in Indonesia.
When you're ready to discover your own private Bali, your butler will be waiting
to take you to your villa via the resort's many buggies. In good luxury resort fashion,
he will also give you a brisk tour of the resort's grounds and introduce you to
its many facilities.
As an aside, we've already covered the spa facilities at this resort in an earlier
article, along with a wealth of spa options in Bali here
