The High Performance Scion By Snolo Sleds Promises Endless Fun This Coming Winter

Back in 2013, just before the year’s end, we were raving about the Stealth-X by Snolo Sleds. Since then, Snolo Sleds has given us something else to rave about – the Scion. Yes, like its predecessor, the new high performance sled has a mighty cool name too. But then again, you can’t judge a sled just by its name.

Scion is the result of Stealth-X’s success and popularity with Snolo Sleds shipping the product to customers from all corners of the globe. However with the Stealth-X’s US$3,200 price tag, not everyone who wanted one could get one. After receiving a barrage of emails from fans asking for a more affordable high performance sled, the team at Snolo Sleds got to work.

Scion boasts a UV Resistant Fiber Re-enforced High Density Polyethylene monocoque construction, a non-stick sled body, Tetron impact absorbing seat padding covered with waterproof 600D nylon, Formula One style seating, replaceable polished stainless steel and alloy runners, and a bunch of other carefully thought out features designed to give the user an amazing ride.

You don’t have to take our word for it. USA’s Olympic Medalist and World Luge Champion, Chris Thorpe, piloted a Scion, and this is what he said, “I was humbled by this sled, initially. It challenges you, it rewards you, but by no means will you master this sled on your first day out. You can go from carving to slipping and drifting the turns to just stopping on a dime. The performance and control factor are, I think, second to none. The limits of this sled, I think, are still somewhat unexplored.”

Scion is definitely on our wishlist. Winter is coming
