It has been eight years since Louis Vuitton first unveiled its gorgeous City Guides, and the fantastic travel book collections have only expanded since then. This year brings the addition of four new cities – Amsterdam, Lisbon, San Francisco and Taipei, with an updated Paris volume. The volume also comes with new addresses including Cape Town, Mexico City, Moscow, Seoul, Shanghai and Singapore.

Look out for the printed City Guides 2017, which launched in-store on Saturday, but mobile app versions, voted “Best Travel App” by Apple, are also available. Each city comes alive from the maison’s calls upon various freelance journalists and special guests from each corner, where the captured spirit of each place unravels in the books.

One might say that the guides make for the perfect insight to the world’s cities. The new Louis Vuitton City Guides enables its user to live as if one were a local – in addition to having thousands of addresses quarterly updated, the guides now proposes 29 world cities.

The maison will also be unveiling the Fashion Eye this November in a series of travel books with each photographic album resonant with a city, region or country, but from a fascinating perspective of a fashion photographer. Every year, new titles will be added to the permanent collection. The five debut titles will be Miami by Guy Bourdin, Paris by Jeanloup Sieff, Shanghai by Wing Shya, California by Kourtney Roy and India by Henry Clarke.
