5 Edgy Fashion Trends From New York Fashion Week’s SS18 Shows

The show must go on – and while at it, why not make it a great one? New York Fashion Week stunned with its optimistic mood and joie de vivre with plenty of colours and a generous dose of skin and shine. Seeing models walk the Marc Jacobs finale to an aria from the 1981 French film Diva was a real treat.

Here, we round up of the trends and looks worth noting.

#1: The Colour Purple

In particular, soft lilac pastels. What makes the gentle hue more directional than just pretty is how it’s worn in a matchy-matchy way on tops and bottoms.

#2: The “Elvira” Dress

Elvira Hancock, that is. The silver screen character that Michelle Pfeiffer played in Scarface (1983) film is the official sexy dress of next season.
