The Creative Spot Backs Emerging International Fashion Talent

The semi-annual Milan Fashion Week subsists as a seasonal hub where the city transforms into a gorgeous arena showcasing compelling designs at the most elegant venues, from the Palazzo Reale to the Palazzo Serbelloni, where esteemed designers and established fashion houses take center stage. This season however, an official announcement at the iconic tradeshow calls for the spotlight to fall on an emerging generation of designers instead.

In collaboration with National Chamber of Italian Fashion, Fidenza Village has unveiled The Creative Spot, which encourages the new generation of Italian and international designers. The unique project showcases their pieces through an exclusive concept boutique designed by Massimiliano Locatelli, and ruminates through a distinctly Italian style, interpreted with the likes of local and international touches.

The pop-up, which you will find at the core of the Village, will run until August this year. The rather unique initiative follows the entire journey of a selection of noteworthy, emerging fashion designers in the international scene, right from the very beginnings, from the creative process right to the point of distribution.

"Supporting talents and preserving the value of creativity is a central commitment of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion," said Carlo Capasa, President of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion. “The Creative Spot offers a showcase and networking opportunities to young selected talents, a new generation of creative people who share a special bond with our country and in particular Milan, which remains a lively and dynamic centre of attraction of the Fashion System.”

From the hottest trends to the latest avant-garde style to look out for, guests of the Village can tap into the stories of the designers and uncover a gorgeous array of prêt-a-porter clothes, handbags, shoes and accessories, from the likes of Italian-Haitian designer Stella Jean, Leitmotiv, Solovière, Yang Du, Solovière, Tak Ori, Nathalie Trad and many more.

You could say there is something for everyone, as you sift through the pieces offering whimsical lines, iconic prints, rock-romance bags, beautiful scarves and fantastic manga creations from every corner of the world, from Paris to Milan and China to Russia.

"For over a decade it has been our great pleasure and privilege at Value Retail to help support, develop and spotlight the next generation of creative talent,” said Desirée Bollier, Chief Executive of Value Retail Management. “The Creative Spot is the culmination of these years of focus and commitment to the future of fashion. We understand that emerging fashion creatives and entrepreneurs will often need the support of established commercial businesses to offer guidance and opportunity as they progress on to the global stage. We are delighted to be able to play a part in their evolution, hand-in-hand with our incredibly distinguished and passionate partners.”
