Omega Launches First Sunglass Collection

Earlier this month, Iconic Swiss watchmaker Omega has unveiled its very first sunglasses collection in a monumental partnership with Marcolin Eyewear in Italy.

Available exclusively in Omega boutiques worldwide, the first summer collection for both men and women offers two different sizes in each model, which also comes in two different colors. In line with Omega’s heritage and products, which the sunglasses are inspired by, the collection offers each unique pair in a variety of technical design details and aesthetics.

Indeed, each pair offers fascinating features that remind of the watchmaker’s jewelry and timepieces, such as the Constellation watch’s iconic claws or a gleaming black finish evocative of its ceramic Dark Side of the Moon Collection.

Like its timepieces, Omega retains a meticulous attention to detail in its new sunglasses range, which are fashioned from the best materials, including scratch-resistant, anti-reflective, high-quality lenses.

“This is an exciting step for OMEGA because it leads our brand into new areas of opportunity,” says Raynald Aeschlimann, President & CEO of OMEGA. “With our long history, there is real brand substance and authenticity to work with and we have ensured that it is truly represented in every pair of sunglasses. It’s also been beneficial to share this project with Marcolin, as their renowned expertise and background with high-level brands has allowed us to produce some fantastic products.  For customers, this is a chance to find new ways to express personal style and a passion for our brand.”

Furthermore, whilst the Rio 2016 Olympic Games have already concluded, Omega’s Limited Edition models, of which only 2016 pairs have been created, are still available. Unlike its sister models, this classic unisex pair only comes in matte black with polarized green lenses.
