The decade of grunge and Clueless is undergoing its biggest resurgence, though much of its beauty influence remains questionable (skinny brows? Never again).

Urban Decay (UD) Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss and Dior Addict Lacquer Plump combine three lip trends from the era: highly pigmented colour ranging from crimson to unexpected hues like violet (Dior) and gold (UD); fun finishes like metallic (UD) and glitter (both); and a sheen that leaves a fuller, Liv Tyler-esque pout. Like a Demna Gvasalia collection, the result is surprisingly current and statement-making when paired with barely made-up skin. The inclusion of nourishing ingredients, like hyaluronic acid and vitamin E, means they won't leave puckers dry the way the ones in the '90s did.
