The Designer Tee Obsession Continues with Prada’s Seductive ‘Poster Girl’ Capsule

In a stunningly vintage throwback, there was one particular stand out at Miuccia Prada's Fall Winter 2017 presentation. The recently launched range of tees and sweaters mirrors that seemingly rebellious vibe of those prints on the runway. Aptly titled ‘Prada Poster Girl’, the white t-shirts are printed with a thought-provoking range of vintage illustrations, lauding the alluring yet dangerous femme fatale. As Miuccia Prada herself says it best, these mid-century bombshells may be glamorous, “but they have guns.”

No matter that the presentation was within a space fashioned after the bedroom of a Prada-loving teenage girl, whose sensibly made-up bed lay against a wall of pulpy pin-ups. In case you found the illustrations familiar, they were by the same Robert E. McGinnis who designed the movie posters for Breakfast at Tiffany's and James Bond.

The stunning tees make more than a statement, with some proclaiming the plight of our status quo, declaring that “Fashion is about the everyday and the everyday is the political stage of our freedoms.” Prices for the Poster Girl Capsule range from S$720 – S$1330.
