Watch Video: Aarika Lee And Charmaine Seah Go Streetwear Shopping & Play Dress Up

Question: what do you get when you put two best friends in a store together with the freedom to dress up in whatever they want? Answer: unfiltered shenanigans and plenty of giggles.

If like us, you'd made it a habit to hit up Orchard Road back in the day as soon as school let out, Ngee Ann City's A|X Armani Exchange store — the place to pick up a logo T-shirt or two — should be well on your radar. But if not, here's a refresher. As the everyday wear line of the Italian brand known for its precise tailoring, the A|X offering is streetwear-tinged, but not mindlessly hype. It's old school, but not old fashioned. Most of all, despite being the casual, younger sibling of the Armani family, it still possesses an unmistakable sprezzatura. Think: denim jeans dressed up with grommets, runners elevated in glittery mesh, impossibly fluffy, look-at-me pullovers and, of course, those OG logo tees in foil typography.

On occasion of the store's newly renovated and reopened space, we head down to check it out with the Female Collective's Aarika Lee and Charmaine Seah, who play dress up with the aforementioned Fall/Winter '18 collection. Cue: watch the two best friends have fun while shopping, above.
