LVMH-owned DFS finally opens whisky and watch boutique in Macau

The LVMH-owned DFS Group has newly opened a lifestyle shopping experience at T Galleria by DFS in Macau’s City of Dreams. The new Timepieces & Whiskies lounge will be on the men’s fashion floor with an ambiance reminiscent of the well-travelled collector and his treasure of spoils. The latest space is an amalgamation of the men’s concepts in a new offering of fashion, accessories, watches and spirits in a single space.

Set in the style of a library, the contemporary lofted lounge allows for guests to relax and indulge in a stunning collection of cult-favourite single malts or try on a classic watch by a fireplace. The whisky brands span across a specially curated selection of 30, highlighting several flavour profiles and iconic brands including Highland Park, Glenmorangie and The Macallan.

“We bring the classic hospitality tradition into the retail shopping experience,” says Brooke Supernaw DFS Group’s Senior Vice President Spirits, Wines, Tobacco, Food and Gifts in a statement to the press. “By offering a personalized, tailored tasting experience within the comfort of this gentlemen’s-style lounge, our guests will immediately feel at home.”

Daily guided tastings are designed to engage the customer and allow for new discoveries, whether you are a knowledgeable whisky connoisseur or a novice. A special focus will be on exclusive or limited edition products, including the stunning Araid Rare Cask Reserve which is only available with DFS in Macau. Look out for whisky-centric tasting events and seminars which will be held throughout the year.

For watch enthusiasts, the new space is the perfect destination to check out a specially curated selection of men’s watches, especially if you are searching for something unique or fashionable.

“Building your watch collection is intensely personal,” says Christophe Chaix, DFS Group’s Senior Vice President Fashion, Watches, Jewelry and Accessories in a statement. “Timepieces & Whiskies allows collectors not only to explore some of our watch buyers’ favorite pieces of the moment, but to engage in a dialog on the latest trends, niche brands and how to round out your collection.”

The hand selected pieces will feature some of the most iconic brands in horology, including IWC Schaffhausen, Zenith and niche brands like NOMOS Glashütte and Romain Jerome. Even if not savouring a nice dram, you can have a game at the foosball table or flip through some of the many watch books laid out across the store.
