Marriott Expands Portfolio with 30 Leading Luxury Hotels


Marriott International now welcomes some 30 prestigious hotel brands in their expanded portfolio, with the recent acquiring of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts. With guests becoming more discerning in their travels, and with a higher demand for inspiring, personal experiences, they can now access over 5,700 hotels and over a million rooms across 110 countries worldwide.

Their latest expansion includes the addition of some of the biggest names in luxury and lifestyle, including St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, W Hotels and EDITION. The Westin, Renaissance and Autograph Collection will occupy the company’s evolving lifestyle category, while the more accessible and fun Moxy Hotels, AC Hotels and Aloft will provide for some variety.

The merger also brings Expanded Loyalty Benefits, where members are invited to link their accounts at Marriott Rewards now includes The Ritz-Carlton Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest, offering members to match their status across programs, transferring and redeeming points for an even greater scope in potential travel destinations. For linked accounts, every three Marriott Rewards points would be equivalent to one SPG Starpoint, which can be used on the Marriott Rewards Experiences Marketplace, the SPG’s Moments platform, or simply to redeem stays.
