Inside Gucci's New Stunningly Maximalist Home Range

It’s no secret that Gucci’s new creative director has revived the brand like never before, with a sort of outrageously stunning maximalist vibe and a whole lot of playful whimsicality. Fans can look forward to an exciting new high – the fashion house is extending its range beyond the runway. Gucci announced mid last week that it will be launching Gucci Décor, marking its debut into the home range following Fendi, Armani, and Ralph Lauren, which all have their own home collection.

Alessandro Michele’s penchant for dreamy designs and fairy tale-like illustrations carries on with the new décor line, with popular motifs that have quickly become synonymous with Gucci. Previously seen on the fashion house’s popular embroidered silk bomber jackets and other ready-to-wear, find the latest line with a fancy Italian Renaissance aesthetic with a nostalgic twist.

Gucci Décor is expected to roll out globally from September 2017, with the collection available online and in Gucci flagship stores, as well as in selected specialty stores worldwide. Though no specified dates have been given on its availability in Singapore yet, some locations that will be carrying the collection include Milan, Paris, London, New York, Japan, Hong Kong and China. The latest development does not come as a complete surprise, however. For Gucci’s Cruise 2017 show at Westminster Abbey, guests were given lavishly velvet and needlepoint pillows designed by Michele himself as a take-home gift.
