World's Most Expensive Car Wash for £7.2K

By William Stolerman

The world's most expensive car wash is the brainchild of 30-year-old accountancy graduate Gurcharn Sahota. The service can cost up to £7,200.

For the elite routine he applies over 100 different cleaning fluids, a wax that costs £8,200 per tub, and uses a £5,000 police forensic microscope to detect minute scratches. The time that goes into the process is significant, taking up to 250 hours to clean one vehicle.

Operating in Derby, Britain, as a suitable amphitheatre for the work he has also built a Formula One styled pit which allows him to access the underside of the cars.

He said: "People come to me and they want the best treatment going for their car. If you’ve got a £500,000 car then a few grand for cleaning is worth it. Sometimes I’ll work through the night to get a car looking absolutely pristine. They’re world class motors that deserve a world class wash."

Since he started the business five years ago he has washed hundreds of supercars including Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Rolls Royce and the Le Mans-winning McLaren F1 GTR.
