To celebrate the production of the gorgeous C-X75 concept car, Jaguar has teamed up with British counterpart Alfred Dunhill to produce a short film tracing the lineage behind the cutting-edge electric supercar.

Unveiled at last year's Paris Auto Show to great excitement from auto-fans, the C-X75 will enter production sometime between 2013 and 2015. While the futuristic vehicle will be fuelled by a all-star combination of four electric generators, two jet turbines and a diesel engine, its inspiration is firmly rooted in Jaguar's history - the XJ13, a one-of-kind racing prototype that was built in the mid-'60s for LeMans.

Only one XJ13 was ever made, and its legacy can be seen, some fifty years later, in the C-X75. To explain the connection between these two legends, past and present, watch the specially produced Alfred Dunhill short film below. Enjoy!
