Coming Soon: Versace for H&M

Campaign 7.

November 17 is the date to pencil in your organizers, if you're looking for a few bright pieces to shake up your holiday wardrobe: the hotly anticipated Versace for H&M collection officially drops on that date.

In a throwback to Versace's riotous ouevre from the '90s, the collaboration brims with references to the house's signature prints, including the Greek key iconography, which can be found everywhere from the jackets for women to belts for men.

“The collection for H&M is the essence of Versace," Donatella Versace says. "We’ve brought back from the archives, as well as from more recent collections, some of the icons of Versace, such as the bright prints, the Greek key and daring cuts. I can’t wait to see how H&M’s wide audience will make these pieces their own.”

For the ladies, short pleat skirts, velvet bomber jackets, leggings and jeans are emblazoned with Versace's most iconic prints, accented with showstoppers like a gold-studded and zippered leather jacket.

The accessories are every bit as high octane and nightclub-sexy, and include a studded suede high-heeled sandals along with leather bags - studded, as well, of course - and soft velvet bags covered with a Miami palm print.

Versace’s men’s collection for H&M, meanwhile, combines slick tailoring with extremely bold pops of color and naughty, rock-god accents. Blazers and trousers come in black or fuschia, while a black tuxedo jacket has metallic tip trims on its pockets, and shirts have metallic wing-tips on the collars.

The slick city gents will love the luxe quilted leather jacket with gold studded detailing in Versace's immediately recognizable Greek patterning, which can also be found repeated down the sides of black cotton shorts and a casual, rolled-sleeved T-shirt.

The loudest pieces come in Versace’s palm and optical prints, on T-shirts, thin-knit cashmere sweaters, velvet bombers, jeans and even underpants. Accessories include embellished beanies and patterned caps, embellished or print scarfs, as well as hi-top sneakers and snazzy dress shoes.

The plethora of choices also include a first for the Swedish fast-fashion deisgner collaboration: homeware pieces like plush pillows and bedspreads that reflect Versace's strong presence in the market. The full collection will, as we mentioned earlier, be available worldwide from November 17.
