Manhattan restaurant offers tea with half a bottle of Ruinart champagne


To attract customers to its fold, a restaurant in New York has found a unique way. The Peacock restaurant in Manhattan is offering a cup of Champagne Cream Tea along with half a bottle of Ruinart’s Blanc de Blancs for US$100. The customers can also choose to have the Afternoon Cream Tea, if they so desire. This comes for US$50.

Robert Aikens, the restaurant’s chef points out that as not many people come to the restaurant during the day hours, they are trying this innovation to increase the numbers during the day hours. The venture by Peacock can be considered to be the latest in its kind to attract customers and also popularize tea drinking at the same time.
