Summers Place Auction offers fossils


Those having interest in Palaeobotany can now think about owning a piece of history. Among the other skulls, stuffed body parts of animals will be on sale is a 180 million year old fossil. This unique kind of sale is being organized by Summers Place Auction, a body which specializes in fossil decoration.

Among the lot which is being put on auction, particular interest has been generated by a clouded leopard which has been stuffed suitably. Though the price has been set to be in the range of $10,000 to $16,000, this is a unique auction artifact to be ever displayed.

The proceeds from this auction will in all likelihood go to Sue Rider Cancer Charity. An Ichthyosaur stenopterygius fossil too is making news. This 180 million year old fossil is expected to fetch anything between the ranges of $33,000 to $50,000.
