Celebrities and Royalty at Southeast Asia’s First Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup

The weekend was not without the exciting Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup, as 300 guests watched Prince Harry take to the polo field to raise funds for his charity, Sentebale. Singapore Polo Club made this year’s arena, as distinguished guests gathered to support the charity’s work helping youth affected by AIDS in South Africa. A minute’s silence was held prior to the game’s commencement in honour of those affected by the recent London attacks on Saturday evening. The exciting match ensued in what was to become a closely fought game, until Prince Harry struck the winning ball in the final chukka, alongside stellar performances by Malcolm Borwick, Royal Salute World Polo Ambassador and Nacho Figueras, Sentebale and St. Regis Ambassador. Sentebale’s flagship fundraising event has taken place over eight years in different locations globally, but this year marks the very first time the Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup has been held in Southeast Asia. Over £4.5million (S$80.3 million) has been raised to date, supporting youths in Lesotho and Botswana living with HIV.
